How do we work?
At Aviator.NYC, we use AI extensively throughout our business. We are not looking for someone who spends hours doing repetitive work simply because that is how it has always been done. We are looking for someone who enjoys finding better ways to work. We are not hiring someone to spend 10 hours manually editing a video that AI can finish in 30 minutes. We are hiring someone to constantly evaluate and implement new AI workflows.
If a task can be automated, accelerated, or improved with AI, we expect you to explore it. That includes video editing, caption generation, thumbnails, content repurposing, research, workflow automation, and any other repetitive processes. Our goal is not to replace creativity with AI: it is to eliminate unnecessary manual work so we can spend more time creating valuable educational content about flight simulator training in Manhattan.
What will you do?
You will own the content production pipeline for our studio, from filming in our simulator space to publishing across every channel. Day to day, that means:
- Film educational videos and behind-the-scenes content
- Edit long-form and short-form videos using AI-assisted workflows
- Evaluate and implement new AI tools for editing, transcription, captions, graphics, and publishing
- Build repeatable content production workflows
- Repurpose one recording session into multiple pieces of content
- Create thumbnails using AI-assisted design tools
- Schedule content across YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok
- Organize digital assets and maintain an efficient media library
- Research new AI tools and recommend improvements to our workflow
Much of what you film happens inside our Cirrus flight simulators, which are a visual gift: real cockpits, real students, and real reactions.
Who are we looking for?
You do not need years of professional editing experience. You do need to enjoy learning new technology. Ideal candidates are comfortable experimenting with tools like these:

We value speed, quality, and continuous improvement. If you can reduce a four-hour process to thirty minutes while maintaining quality, that is a success.
How much does it pay?
This role pays $20 to $50 per hour, part-time. Where you land in the range depends on your experience with filming and editing, how quickly you turn a recording session into published content, and how much of the workflow you can run independently. Someone who can film, edit with AI-assisted tools, and publish across every channel without hand-holding earns at the top of the range. You will work on site at our studio in Hudson Square, Manhattan for filming days, with editing and publishing work that can flex around your schedule. As our content output grows, so do the hours available and your rate within the range.
AI Content Producer FAQ
No formal portfolio is required, but you should show us something you have made. That can be a personal YouTube channel, TikTok or Instagram clips, a school project, or even a workflow you automated and documented. We care much more about how you think and how fast you learn than about polished credits. If you have ever taken one recording and turned it into a thread, a short, a caption file, and a thumbnail, tell us about it in your application. The strongest applications we see include one or two links and a sentence about which AI tools were used and what they saved. That tells us more than a resume line ever could.
This is a part-time role, and hours flex with our content calendar. Expect filming blocks at the studio in Hudson Square, Manhattan on scheduled days, plus editing and publishing work that you can largely arrange around your own schedule. As our channels grow and the production workflows you build start compounding, there is more work available for someone who is producing results. We would rather have someone efficient for fewer hours than someone slow for many: the whole premise of the role is that AI-assisted workflows let one sharp person do what used to take a small team. Filming happens in person at our studio at 131 Varick St in Hudson Square, Manhattan (by appointment only), because the content is built around real simulator sessions, real students, and the energy of the space. Editing, captioning, thumbnail creation, scheduling, and workflow automation can mostly happen wherever you work best. A typical rhythm is one or two filming days at the studio, then remote production work to turn that footage into a week or more of published content across YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok. You should be based in or near New York City so filming days are easy to schedule.
The role grows with our channels. You start by producing and publishing content with AI-assisted workflows. As output and quality climb, you take ownership of the content calendar, the media library, and the automation stack behind it. Pay within the $20 to $50 per hour range moves with your independence: the more of the pipeline you can run end to end, the higher your rate. Because we use AI across the whole business, someone who proves they can find and implement better workflows tends to get pulled into bigger problems than social clips.
