What Is the Training Environment Like?
We're not a large flight school with rows of simulators. We're a focused operation where every session gets the full attention of an airline pilot instructor.
Aviator.NYC is a flight simulator training facility at 131 Varick St in Hudson Square, Lower Manhattan. Our FAA-approved Advanced Aviation Training Device features Garmin G1000 NXi glass panel avionics — the same system found in modern Cessna 172S and 182T aircraft. The facility operates by appointment only: one instructor, one student, complete focus. The majority of our instructors are active airline pilots who teach on their days off from flying for the airlines.

How Do I Get to the Facility?
Unlike airport-based flight schools with rows of simulators and rotating instructors, we operate a single FAA-certified training device in a private office. Every session gets the undivided attention of an airline pilot instructor with thousands of hours of real-world experience. You can log up to 2.5 hours toward your Private Pilot certificate, 20 hours toward your Instrument Rating, and up to 50 hours cumulative through your Commercial certificate — all at a fraction of the cost of aircraft time.
