Discover the Cockpit

The cockpit is your command center — every button and lever does something important.

1-min review

What You'll Do Today

Today you climb into the pilot's seat for the very first time and meet your airplane. You won't fly yet — first you'll find every control and learn what it does, so next time your hands already know where to go.

  • Get comfortable in the pilot's seat and set up your view
  • Find the four main controls: the yoke, the throttle, the rudder pedals, and the flap switch
  • Turn on the power and watch the G1000 glass screens light up
  • Learn the most important rule of all: you are the pilot in command

By the end you'll be able to point to any control and say what it does — ready to make the airplane move next time.
