IFR Currency Training

Three options to maintain or regain your instrument currency. Each session is 2 hours with an airline pilot instructor.

Lesson Objectives

  • Complete FAA WINGS Program accredited activity
  • 30-minute weather and IFR Q&A session
  • Simulated IFR flight focusing on clearance, SIDs, and approaches

Pre-Lesson Preparation

Do you have specific objectives for our upcoming lesson? Here are a few options:

  • FAA Safety Wing Activities: A 30-minute weather and IFR Q&A session, followed by a simulated IFR flight focusing on clearance, SIDs, and approaches. We won't let the simulator fly the en-route portion.
  • Custom Approach: If you have a pre-planned course, we can tailor the session to fit your agenda. With our worldwide G1000 database, we can simulate a variety of scenarios. Typically includes three approaches over two hours.
  • Local Approach Profiles: Ideal for pilots completing six approaches and holds in a single lesson, focused on departures from NYC-area airports. Designed to keep you IFR current, with ACS standardization available in later lessons.
