What You'll Do Today
Today you learn that wind pushes the airplane even while it's still on the ground. The trick is to point the yoke the right way so the wind can't lift a wing. First you'll find out where the wind is coming from, then you'll taxi with the correct yoke position.
- Find the wind direction on the G1000 and the weather report
- Turn the yoke into the wind when it comes from the side
- Taxi to the hold short line with the wind correction held
By the end you'll taxi safely even on a breezy day, keeping the airplane steady.
