Coordinated Flight
A good turn uses aileron AND rudder together — that is called coordinated flight.
What You'll Do Today
Today you make your turns smooth and comfortable by using your feet and hands together. A good turn uses the yoke AND the rudder at the same time — that teamwork is called coordinated flight. Your guide is a little ball at the bottom of the screen.
- Turn the yoke left and press a little left rudder together
- Turn the yoke right and press a little right rudder together
- Watch the ball and keep it centered
- Learn the trick: "step on the ball" to fix a sloppy turn
By the end you'll be able to make smooth, balanced turns with the ball staying centered, the way a careful pilot flies.
