Slow Turns
Turning while flying slowly is harder — the stall speed increases in a turn.

What You'll Do Today
Today you put two skills together: flying slowly and turning. Turning while slow is trickier than turning fast, because the wings have to work harder in a turn. You'll learn to turn very gently and keep the airplane happy.
- Set up in slow flight at about 55 knots
- Make a gentle turn using only a small bank (15 degrees)
- Add a little power because turning needs extra lift
- Keep the speed up so the stall warning horn stays quiet
By the end you'll be able to turn left and right in slow flight smoothly, without letting the airplane get too slow.
