Go-Around!
A go-around means you abort the landing and try again. It is never wrong to go around — it is the safe choice.
What You'll Do Today
Today you learn the go-around — when you decide not to land, add power, and climb away to try again. Going around is never a mistake. It is the smart, safe choice any time the landing does not look right.
- Add full power right away when you decide to go around
- Pitch the nose up to climb at the best climb speed
- Raise the flaps a little at a time, not all at once
- Fly the pattern again and set up for another try
By the end you'll be able to call off a landing smoothly and climb back into the pattern — turning a bad approach into a fresh start.
