What You'll Do Today
Today you focus on the climb itself — how to read your height and how to climb at the best speed. You'll find the altimeter on the screen, watch your altitude rise, and hold the magic climb speed that gets you up fastest. Then you'll level off at your target.
- Find and read the altimeter on the G1000
- Learn what "feet above sea level" means
- Hold the best climb speed (about 74 knots)
- Level off when you reach your target altitude
By the end you'll climb smoothly and know exactly how high you are at all times.
