PARE Recovery

PARE: Power idle, Ailerons neutral, Rudder opposite, Elevator forward. Four steps to stop any spin.

What You Will Learn

Simulator Steps

  1. Instructor enters a spin to the left
  2. You call out: P — POWER IDLE (pull throttle back)
  3. A — AILERONS NEUTRAL (center the yoke)
  4. R — RUDDER OPPOSITE (right rudder to stop left spin)
  5. E — ELEVATOR FORWARD (push yoke forward until rotation stops)
  6. When rotation stops: neutralize rudder, pull back to recover, add power
