Go-Around!

Big Idea

A go-around means you abort the landing and try again. It is never wrong to go around — it is the safe choice.

Fun Fact

Even airline pilots go around several times a year. It is a sign of good judgment, not a mistake!

What You Will Learn

Simulator Steps

  1. On final approach, instructor calls "GO AROUND"
  2. Push throttle to FULL power
  3. Pitch up to climb attitude
  4. Retract flaps from 30 → 20 → 10 → UP (in stages)
  5. Climb to pattern altitude and fly the pattern again
